Fagus sylvatica 'Plaswijk'
A purple-leaved variety of beech with a beautiful, narrow, columnar shape. It grows slowly, flowers and bears fruit only after 40-50 years. It grows up to 20 m high,
requires moist and fertile soil and grows much worse in dry places. Requires a sunny location, tolerates light partial shade.
