Description:

Height 0.5-1 m, width 1-1.8 m. Slow-growing, annual growth 5-8 cm.
Dense low shrub growth form.
Thorns dark green, turn yellow in autumn, yellow in winter.
Light-demanding, stays sparse even in semi-shade. Unpretentious in terms of soil, it grows well on stony or sandy-gravel soil and slightly moist marshy soil.
Suitable for growing individually or in groups, in rock gardens, rock gardens, peat and heath gardens, in mulched beds.
