A beautiful, densely branched tree that grows to about 6 meters. The compact crown is ovoid to narrowly oval and remains slender and dense. The thick, ripe bark is gray-brown and deeply grooved. The tips of the stiff, shiny dark green needles are curved inward, which is especially noticeable on young shoots. Oval or narrow oval cones are double or triple on short stems . A beautiful and, above all, densely growing, rather slender form that is also suitable for the garden. Few demands on the soil, tolerates calcareous soil and wind.
