Pinus nigra 'Zimmer'


Black pine with an exceptionally narrow shape. All shoots grow straight up, right next to the controller. Long, dense, dark green needles, arranged in a radial, "crinkly" manner, thanks to which all parts of the plant merge into one regular, narrow, slender shape. It grows quite slowly, after ten years it reaches a height of 1.5 meters, a maximum width of 0.5 meters. Old trees can reach a height of up to 6 meters.
A very good variety for small spaces. The slender, narrow shape works well with wide or spreading plants, especially colorful varieties. It is also suitable for a loose row. It is used both in home gardens and in public greenery. It grows well in average, permeable soil, tolerates occasional drought and is frost-resistant enough for Polish conditions. It grows best and looks best in a sunny location.
