Abies Koreana `Silberlocke` - Dwarf Koreana

Height 1-2m. A slow-growing and spherical dwarf korea. The needles are silver gray underneath and they have rolled up so that the underside is visible. Blue-gray upright cones on the branches to the delight of the squirrels. Bonsai tree by nature. Growth rate 5-10cm/year. Au-Sun. Zone 1-3.

Korean fir (Abies koreana) comes from South Korea and is quite a common ornamental tree in southern Finland. Koreanpihta's growth habit is broad and its upward-curving top branches bring an oriental atmosphere to the garden. Upward blue cones already appear on specimens less than 2m tall. The korea plant thrives best in a semi-shady location in rich or medium-nutrient soil.
